EDITORIAL & AFFILIATE POLICY

Rankings and revenue stay separate

WattMatch publishes its comparison rules and identifies economic relationships near retailer links.

Last updated Aug 4, 2026
01

Product selection

Products must have verifiable manufacturer specifications and a realistic purchase path for the audience. Affiliate availability alone never adds a product or raises its rank.

We compare by use case rather than forcing every size class into one universal list.

02

Data and calculations

When sources conflict, the more specific and current manufacturer documentation takes priority. Surge and lifting modes are never presented as continuous output.

Runtime uses capacity (Wh) × 0.85 ÷ appliance draw (W) as a consistent estimate, not a guarantee.

03

Retail links and commissions

US pages may link to Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and manufacturer stores. A link earns commission only after WattMatch is accepted into the relevant program and uses an approved tracked link.

If Amazon Associates tracking is activated, WattMatch displays the required statement: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

  • Commissions do not change scores
  • Paid placement is not disguised as editorial rank
  • Current price and stock must be confirmed at the retailer
  • Sponsored or affiliate links use clear disclosure
04

Corrections and updates

Specifications, models, and retailer availability can change. Material corrections are made against the manufacturer source and dated when appropriate.
